GreengateSalford
The Greengate building is the first phase of a major residential development of an existing site bordering Manchester city centre and Salford. The development consists of adjacent 21 and 32 storey towers. The building has been designed and built for the Private Rental Sector (PRS) market with careful attention being paid to the appropriate specification of systems and fittings within the buildings.
Brentwood were appointed to carry out the mechanical, electrical and public health design for the scheme. The design has been taken to RIBA stage 4 (previously Stage F1). Upon completion of the design, Brentwood were retained in a client advisory capacity to review and comment upon the contractors detailed design proposals.
The development was split into two phases and due to the phasing of the development, the services design had to accommodate a phased handover, with special consideration being paid to the commissionability of the systems.
Subsequently Brentwood were appointed for the next phase of Renaker’s development of the Greengate area of Salford, known as 100 Greengate (formerly Exchange Court).
